With heavy hearts, we announce that Dr. Josh Buice submitted his resignation to GBTS as Assistant Professor of Preaching early yesterday morning, which we accepted. We are thankful for his ministry to our students. Though we are deeply troubled by the circumstances leading to his resignation, we are grateful that Dr. Buice seems to be moving forward in humility and repentance. As a church-based seminary, we are also thankful for the elders of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, who have spiritual oversight over his soul and are seeking to walk biblically through a process of spiritual restoration. Please join us in prayer for Dr. Buice and his precious family, his church family, and all those who have been sinned against. May God, in His great mercy and love, through the blood of His Son, bring spiritual healing to all those who are hurting.
